Launched by The Hon Michael Kirby AC CMG & Anna Gibbs
Friday 26th Feb, 6pm
York Theatre Foyer, Seymour Centre

The event is part of the New Mardi Gras Queer Thinking program.

There will be a mega-galaxy of lesbian and gay poets reading, including: joanne burns, Kate Lilley, Martin Harrison, Chris Edwards, Denis Gallagher, Andy Quan, Kerry Leves, Paul Knobel, Tricia Dearborn, Keri Glastonbury, Tim Denoon, Jenni Nixon, Louise Wakeling, Carolyn Gerrish, plus the editors, Jill Jones and Michael Farrell.

Other poets in the anthology include David Malouf, Dorothy Porter, Pam Brown, Lee Cataldi, Wendy Jenkins, Peter Rose, Angela Gardner, Miriel Lenore, Scott-Patrick Mitchell, and many others.

Out of the Box is the first contemporary Australian gay and lesbian poetry anthology. Read an interview about the anthology with Michael and me, by Scott-Patrick Mitchell in OUTinPerth and another interview with Maria Zajkowski about the book and her poetry in Cherrie.

If you can't get to the launches, you can buy the anthology in a real bookshop such as The Bookshop, Darlinghurst, Hares and Hyeneas, Fitzroy, or another good Australian bookshop - for instance, Gleebooks, Better Read Than Dead, Kinokuniya, Readings, Imprints, or a Dymocks. Or you can buy it online at abebooks and booktopia.
